First edition of flagship event, TiE Impact 2018
The TiE Impact 2018 (which is the first edition of TiE Amaravati’s flagship event) has been conceptualized based on the key attributes recognized for a successful Entrepreneurship Cell and Incubation Centre in Educational Institution setup and to sensitize the educational institutions in the state in supporting Student Entrepreneurs. The event with the theme of “Developing Entrepreneurship and Enterprise in Educational Institutions” saw an involvement of nearly 200 delegates from about 40 Educational Institutions.
The inaugural event was graced by Shri Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Minister for HRD, Andhra Pradesh and the closing ceremony saw the presence of Shri Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT, Andhra Pradesh. The speakers for the conference were from the most prestigious management institutions of India like IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Bombay, IIM Bangalore, IIT Hyderabad, IIIT Hyderabad, Wadhwani Foundation – who have all been involved in the journey of successfully running Incubation Centres at their institutions and supporting student entrepreneurship. The purpose of the TiE Impact conference was to empower the universities in a way of introducing entrepreneurship in the curriculum, creating an entrepreneurial culture on campus and assessing multiple approaches by universities and businesses to bring forth accelerator or incubator-style support.
